The Pay Phones welfare Association is the Appex body of STD PCO Owner’s/Holders. The PCO is the biggest network of Indian telecom sector and as a biggest retailer of the Telcom products ie GSM / CDMA / accessories / SIM / Vouchers and other telcom related equipment with daily consumer goods also.

PPWA was registered with the mission to uplift the PCO's owner, for their survival. PPWA has organised this unorganised sector at various status circle level, SSA level & Exchaning level with its human resource as SR, DR & ER.

Also PPWA is working for advocaey plan is favour of PCO's owner. PCO's are the bonafied donar in Telecom sector in India. Also works closely with the GOI, DOT, DIT, TRAI, BSNL, MTNL & other service providers to plan their rules & regulation for better upliftment of PCO's with new technology & business plan.

Now PPWA has enrevged it self todo marketing with its allied HR chain in Telecom sector ie GSM / CDMA / internal service / Broadband service.

To acheive the AIMs and objects of PPWA we have incorporated a company namely INDIAN PCO Tele services Ltd. Only PCO holders will be our share holders.

Formation:
This is a Association which is aimed to uplift of the PCO sector throughout the nation. The association is determined to improve the socio-economic status of the PCO franchisees.

The Association was registered in Delhi on October 26, 2005 with the only object of enlightening of future of the PCO franchisees, nationwide and we, as mentioned earlier, have similar Mission & Vision today.

The initiative was taken by prof.H.sinha of Bihar, who had served the PCO community throughout the nation. He was inspired and helped by Mr. Rajnish Ranjan who was involved in Communication & I.T field In Bihar and later shifted to Delhi. They had the active support of Mr.K. Sankarnarayanan of kerla, an energetic PCO leader in India having a strong base in Kerla with a vast experience in writing columns and social work activities.

All India prominent PCO leaders were called and the Governing Body was formed after consultations. The body consists of leaders representing all parts of India and also includes professional experts. For details, click “Contact us”.
